Welcome to Burnside — a charming property with over 120 years of history, nestled on just under 10 acres of crofting land. Over the decades, much of the ground has become cloaked in wild gorse. Now, it’s time to restore balance.
Our vision is to bring Burnside back to life through gentle, sustainable practices — keeping a small number of livestock, planting native trees, and giving the land space to find its own natural rhythm once again.
Our family of animals is growing steadily, and the land is also home to local wildlife — including wild deer that wander freely across the property.
We invite you to follow along as we breathe new life into this old croft: renovating the house, nurturing the soil, and caring for the creatures who share it with us. Along the way, we’ll share photos, ideas, and lessons learned — in the hope of inspiring others on their own journeys toward restoration and renewal.
